WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE AVP IN STRATEGIC PLANNING? • Support and promote the strategic planning process as the Division Champion • Monitor pulse of the division with an emphasis on strategic priorities and emerging issues • Guide and support the construction and progress of goals and action plans within the division
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE AVP IN STRATEGIC PLANNING? • Facilitate connection between budget and strategic priorities—monitor progress based on priorities • Collaborate across campus to help identify larger issues and share ideas
HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE TO STRATEGIC PLANNING EFFORT? • View the strategic plan as “our” plan • Take advantage of opportunities to contribute ideas and suggestions in support of the strategic plan • Strategic planning is both a top down and bottom up process.
