The Young Teaching the Old(er) SOOOO LOST!!!
The Plan Darcy and myself did our bathroom renosin February and I took pictures throughout the project. We estimated the project would take 2-3 weeks. One week he took holidays to work on bathroom. The other two weeks we worked on renos in the evenings and weekends.
Before This vanity and storage is original from 1976 SWEET
Out comes old YellerThe tub surround was first to come off exposing crumbling dry wall and a lot of mold behind that.Week One
Tubs Gone Only to discover floor underneath is ROTTEN
The moldy insulation was taken out and the rotten floor where tub sat was replaced. A whole new job!! One we did not expect or the added expense.
Vanity and Mirror GONE
Yes Snickers, it’s a new tub!WEEK TWO As you can see new floor where tub was..New insulation. Now we wait for plumber.
Paintand tub surround Week Three
Vanity, taps, lights and Mirrored cabinet.
New Flooring Week Five
That is our bathroom reno.I am guessing you noticed it took five weeks instead of the two-three we estimated. Something we thought was simple turned out to be complex. Thank goodness we had a second bathroom in the basement. By week four Darcy and I needed a break before we killed each other LOL….
