E-board Recommendations Board Rec. 23.8 To add expense line item to budget for Box Tops in amount of $250 Board Rec. 23.10 To add expense line item to budget for Teacher/Staff Printing in the amount of $8000 previously approved Board Rec. 23.11 To increase expense and income line items for Spirit Wear

  3. HELP SUPPORT OUR AWESOME P.E. PROGRAM • If interested, please visit the www.oakhillspta.com for more info • Training will be held on January 20th at 10:45am • Parent volunteers are needed to help the P.E. program in helping our kids succeed! • If you can’t volunteer but would like to see what our P.E. Program is all about, you are always welcome to visit. Schedules are posted on the website www.oakhillspta.com

  4. EVP Report: COMMUNICATION • FLIERS: Must be approved by Mr. Gamarra including notes to parents soliciting donations • 100% Paperless Goal by January • Last Newsletter and PTA Fliers will be December issue then all fliers will be available online www.oakhillspta.com

  5. NEW COMMUNICATION PROCEDURES • 1 month prior to event or campaign • Present program to Executive Board including budget • Fill out paperwork as required to NSD or PTA • 2 weeks prior to event or campaign • Present program to Association for approval • Get Flier approved by Mr. Gamarra (hard copy to Carrie) • Once flier is approved, send to Christine for website upload • Make 50 hard copies for the lobby • Send Connect-ed message to Monprapa

NEW COMMUNICATION PROCEDURES • 3. 1 week prior • Committee to decorate the bulletin board • Banner & Valet signs posted • Connect-ed message and email will go out • Week of event • Email blast reminders sent to Room Parents for distribution to class parents • Day after event (or Monday following a Friday event) • All banners, signs, posters, bulletin board must be taken down • All decorations in MPR must be removed • All fliers left in lobby removed & recycled

PTA PROGRAMS • Diversity Quilt • Thursday, December 8th 2-4pm • Celebrate holiday traditions • All material will be supplied by PTA, all are welcome! • Adopt-a-Family: Hope Gardens • Download info on www.oakhillspta.com • Need donations by Friday December 16th • Gift Wrapping Monday, December 19th • Luncheon volunteers needed

  10. PTA PROGRAMS • Running Club • 25 Mile Milestone announcements • Additional dates for make-ups Dec. 13th & 20th • Possible after school dates starting in January • Need parent volunteers to help out on running club days

PTA PROGRAMS • Science Fair • Download info on www.oakhillspta.com • December 15- Project advice- Upper elementary projects at 2:45pm (Fine Arts rm) • December 16- Entry forms due for k-3 • January 24- Projects due by 8:30am • January 25- Judging and family fun night viewing • January 26- All projects must be taken home!

PARLIAMENTARIAN • Nominations for Nominating Committee, E-Board 2012-2013 • All PTA members are welcome to nominate from the floor • Need a committee of 5 plus 2 alternates, and one member will be named chair • Interest Forms Available • 10 positions on Executive Board • Forms are available online and are DUE no later than Dec. 19th

  14. Old Business Measure E Passed by a 66% vote! Thank you for your support! NSD will allocate the $57Million+ in Bond money over the next few years Community Oversight Committee is forming if you’re interested, please contact Ashley Matkin (info on website, Lesgislative Chair)
