What is veganism? • A strict vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet. We consume the carcasses of creatures of like appetites, passions and organs with our own, and fill the slaughterhouses daily with screams of pain and fear. ~ Robert Louis Stevenson (novelist and poet, 1850 - 1894)
Summary • There are ways to be a nutritious vegan and there are also ways to be a very unhealthy vegan. • Humans, animals and the environment can all benefit from people being vegan. • Schools are providing vegan options for students. • There is a wide variety of foods that vegans can eat. • There are many struggles and benefits that vegans face during the diet.
Thesis • Most experts agree that being vegan has many benefits in the world, but if you go about it in the wrong ways than it can be very harmful.

If the diet is not carried out well, however, it can lead to health problems. Foods Vegans Do and Do Not Eat • Meat, eggs, and dairy products are a no! Also anything that is processed • They substitute milk with soy milk, if they want to have cereal or ice cream • Instead of a regular burger, they eat veggie burgers • Vegan diet is plant based—beans, grains, vegetables, fruits
