  1. cfbportal.schoolwires.net/cou November 7, 2012 Kindergarten Newsletter We are going to the zoo THIS Friday. There is some info in the Wednesday Folder for the parents who are coming with us. Please read and let me know if you have any questions. Parents PLEASE check the weather forecast Friday morning. We have told the kids that they need to dress for the weather. Remember to pack a sack lunch! In math we are exploring and creating patterns. Man those things are EVERYWHERE! In social studies we talked about maps and globes. These are tools that help us find places. To prepare us for the zoo, we discussed different animal characteristics in science. Some animals are furry, some are tiny, some are meat eaters, etc. We CANNOT wait to see the different kinds of animals at the zoo on Friday. Family math night is next week1 We hope to see many of you there. If you have not sent in the pink RSVP form please do so by tomorrow! A new homework packet for November came home on Monday. Please make sure the reading log is completed by the end of the month. We can not express how important it is to read to or listen to your children read every night. Please make it part of your nightly routine. Any and all books you read can go on the reading log not just the guided reading books we send home! Congratulations to the butter group for winning specials group of the month! Nice work!! Coming soon…… Thursday, Nov. 8th: send RSVP for Family Math Night in the Wednesday folder Friday, November 9th: ZOO trip!!!
