What is an AEC? • What is an Academic Excellence Committee? • A committee comprised of parents, teachers administrators and Board Members established to help address concerns given to the Superintendent during the spring of 2012. • Established 4 AECs in 2012-2013 • Secondary Bell Schedule • Inclusion • C-Scope Curriculum • 6th Grade Educational Setting

  7. Possible Solutions • Committee met several times throughout the Fall semester • Identified possible solutions • Stay in elementary schools • Move 6th grade to Middle School • Open L.F. Raynes as an independent 6th grade campus
