Practice is Key • Be consistent! • Schedule time to practice – add to your calendar if necessary • Practice for at least 15 minutes each day • Consistent practice builds muscle memory, which is key to unlocking higher typing speeds!
Typing Tips • Eyes on copy – do not look at keyboard • Use all 10 fingers • Read characters, not words
Typing Ergonomics • Sit up straight • Don’t slouch • Shoulders back, but relaxed • Feet flat on floor • Elbows in • Proper wrist position • Don’t arch your wrists • Don’t rest your palms on the keyboard • Fingers anchored to the home row
