Guidance • Identify compelling use cases demonstrating the value and utility of a National Address Database. • Describe the potential relationship between a National Address Database and National Parcel Data and identify possible opportunities to coordinate and leverage the two efforts.
Summary of Activities • Develop a position paper that builds a business case for the NSDI by identifying compelling use cases demonstrating the value and utility of a National Address Database.

Current Use Cases Potential to add additional papers and create a ‘living’ document.
Recommended Actions to the FGDC Community • Add addresses as a theme or dataset under an existing theme in the NGDA and identify theme lead/dataset manager. • Collaborate with partners to develop a business requirements plan to support the development and maintenance of a NAD.
NAD Business Plan • Establish governance plan • Determine funding strategies • Leverage existing investments • Identify best practices at federal, state and local level • Identify short-term actions to quickly establish an NAD • Identify long-term strategies for improvement and maintenance • Assure that the NAD aligns with local public safety and other programmatic drivers • Identify schedule, milestone and metrics to develop, produce and maintain an NAD
Moving Forward/Next Steps • NGAC - finalize and approve report • Develop a list of stakeholders and resources in support of a NAD • Examine the potential relationship between a National Address Database and National Parcel Data and identify possible opportunities to coordinate and leverage the two efforts.
