Wait a second, I thought we were talking about atomic bombs. What the heck is a nuke?
Atomic bombs are a type of nuclear weapon. The name denotes that a reaction is taking place at a sub-atomic level in the nucleus of a cell.
??? What?
Hmmm, you seem lost already. Let’s slow down a bit and explain what this bomb is and where it comes from.
THE HISTORY The Manhattan Project: In the late 1930s, in response to Nazi Germany's development projects the United States began looking into the construction of a nuclear weapon

THE HISTORY Nobody tells me anything… The Manhattan Project: Meanwhile, new U.S. president Harry S. Truman had just recently been informed that the Manahattan Project even existed.
THE HISTORY Now that I’ve got this thing…should I use it??
I say we drop the bomb! After all, that’s war. People are going to die. Maybe when they see this awesome weapon they’ll surrender.
But dropping the bomb means that all of the innocent people nearby will be burnt alive. It’s just not right!
