A Consistent Approach • Statewide Framework: • Definition of Co-Teaching for Maryland • Direction for enhancing instruction by providing access for students with disabilities • Guidance for quality implementation • Support for strategic planning in the district, school and classroom for all learners
State Definition Co-Teaching is a collaborative partnership between a generalist and a specialist who have shared accountability and ownership for planning and delivering instruction and assessment to all students within a classroom environment.
