Guidelines for Multi-Cultural Collaboration • Learn from generalizations about other cultures • Don’t assume there is only one correct way to communicate • Listen actively and empathetically • Remember that cultural norms may not apply to any particular individual
Interactive Dynamic Group Exercise Directions • Break class into 6 groups of people by counting off from 1-6. • Everyone must write down onto a piece of paper 1 thing that they assume no one else knows about them. (This can include personal preferences, pet peeves, etc.) • Each participant shares their information with the group • Discuss who found similarities between themselves and another group member.
