  1. EVERY LANGAUGE REQUIRES VOCABULARY and GRAMMAR RULES. • LATIN is an elective. You CHOSE this course. • Every student can be successful- but one MUST learn the vocabulary and grammar rules! • When a student crams for a test, he may pass the quiz, but he does NOT LEARN the vocabulary and grammar required to be successful in class and on future tests.

  2. Ultimately, a student who crams wastes more time flipping to the glossary to look up words he should know but does not know because he did not study! • Ultimately, a student who crams becomes frustrated with his learning and abilities because he doesn’t know the vocabulary and grammar! • STUDY! DO NOT CRAM!

  3. The link to Quia is listed on my webpage on the school website. *****My school website also has handouts, study guides, ppts, etc ! USE IT to help you succeed! If you use Google Chrome and have issues, try another browser.

  4. The Quia site is to practice vocabulary and grammar • You will be responsible for visiting this site for 50 minutes of practice each week • 20 minutes practicing present stage vocabulary • 20 minutes practicing reviewvocabulary (all previous stages) • 10 minutes practicing grammar. • .

  5. Use your assigned login/password or your work minutes will not be saved!

  6. This 50 minutes is a requiredminimum. • Plan this 50 minutes into your week. • Absent students are expected to complete this study time- on time. • If you don’t have access to the internet at home, ask for a library pass. N.b. The library often has unannounced closings, so procrastinate. • This time counts as a homework assignment and is due by 8:20 A.M. each Friday. • Use your logins and passwords or your time will not recorded.

  7. This homework assignment will begin with the following stages. • Stage 3 in red book • First stage in blue book • First stage in green book

  8. Zero time completed earns 0 for that week’s homework assignment • This can not be made up. Again, do not procrastinate! Plan ahead! • Grade is calculated by: • Adding up all your time and dividing it by 50
