OFFICIAL STUDENT BODY • An official student body formed for the effective functioning of the college and hands-on experience for the students. • IICS student council acts as a coordinator for, and provides administrative support to, various student activities and events at IICS.

COUNCIL ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES • Act as a communication channel between Management, Faculty and Students.” • Contribute by continuously enhancing the quality of academics. • Work for the development of students and solve their problems with the help of Management and Faculty. • Help Management and Professors in maintaining discipline on the campus. • Represent institute at various platforms like Competitions, Industrial visits and Seminars organized in and outside the campus. • Organize various events with the support and guidance of Management and Professors. • Give feedback to Management for improvements
PRESIDENT Primary Responsibilities: • Make representations on behalf of the student council and students of IICS to the Director, IICS; • Carry out the Director’s directives and suggestions. • Help management in preparing comprehensive yearly calendar of student activities. • Coordinate & conduct various activities along with respective VP’s & AVP’s and their teams. • Ensure the implementation of new student initiatives which are in line with IICS’s vision. • Convene and preside over the meetings of the Students’ Council once a month. Have co-ordination within the student council.
PRESIDENT Secondary Responsibilities: • Facilitating the operation and functioning of the student council. • Any new initiative assigned to you by college management or undertaken by you has to be done in coordination with the college management and the student council. • Documentation of all activities is mandatory. • Encourage new initiative like Finance club /Marketing club/HR club, Market Research Cell, etc. Take prior approval of college management.

Class representatives (CR) will also form a part of this council. 3] Suggestions • Suggesting extra academic inputs in consultation with VP, students, faculty and management. • Looking out for betterments/shortcomings in the functioning of IICS. 4] Attendance • Taking attendance for lectures/events/activities.
VP and AVPExtra -Curricular Council 1]Seminars • Ensuring decoram/ dress code/ physical attendance at seminars. 2]Industrial Visits • Planning/making arrangements for any Industrial visits etc 3]Workshops • Suggesting the type of workshops etc the students would like to have or suggest. Organise it. 4] Academic Competitions • Initiating and Identifying team members for competitions like India Preneur Business Plan, etc.

VP and AVPCo-Curricular Council 1]Events • Keep track of the various upcoming events within Indira and at other institutes. • Form list of participants as per individual events, make selections, ensure practices and ensure participation. • Report by way of a small write up and pictures/video of all the events that IICS participates in. Send these for Indira magazine. 2] Prepare for FUNDOO’10
VP and AVPInduction & Alumni Council 1]INDUCTION • Formulate an induction team to welcome the new batch. • Familiarise the new batch with the way-abouts of IICS. • To create & maintain a database of the new batch. 2]ALUMNI • To Create & maintain a database of all Alumni. • To put in place a system and process to monitor Alumni contacts details on continuous & ongoing basis. • To regularly interact with Alumni through mails updating them about college events, etc. • To set up a dedicated Google group for the Alumni or a webpage linked to our college’s site.
