  2. Homes • These are the homes that the Southeast Indians lived in. They lived in a summer house when the weather was warm. They lived in a winter house when it was cooler. Their homes were called chickees.

  3. Food • The Indians of southeast ate corn, beans, and squash.(Also known as the three sisters.) They also ate fish and hunted deer and wild game. They ate berries.

  4. Clothing • They wore deerskin, skirts, and leggings.In the winter they added a cap like blouse with fringe and everyone owned beaver fur robes, caps,and mittens. They wore interesting clothing in the Southeast.

  5. Important Facts • The southeast had a lot of important facts. The southeast were removed from their homes in Georgia and made to walk miles in what became known as the Trail of Tears. Thousands of them died. One important Cherokee named Sequoyah. He made the first Indian alphabet and started the first Cherokee newspaper. There are many important facts to tell about the Southeast Native Americans.
