Day 6

Day 6 After we ate breakfast, we started packing our things up. We went downstairs to check out. It still was quite a ways off before our plane got here. We decided to go to the Museum of Russian Art.

  1. Day 6 After we ate breakfast, we started packing our things up. We went downstairs to check out. It still was quite a ways off before our plane got here. We decided to go to the Museum of Russian Art. It was really interesting. The art was different from our thinking. Some of it was actually disturbing. It wasn’t all about art. The museum was also about their culture and history. Most of it looked so sad and depressing. Some of it was about their scientists, achievements, and the history of their wars. Most of the country looked liked it struggled in poverty through history. Russians have major issues. We were thinking about all the fun we had in the city. It was time for us to go. So we headed out for the airport. The people from the company that own the car came to inspect it. They said it looked fine. We handed them the keys and they took off. Slowly, we took care of our luggage and waited to go through the metal detector. I forgot to take off my belt that had metal in it. Beep! They pulled me aside. It was so embarrassing to have everybody stare at me. Morgan was pretending to not know me. They let me pass eventually. It was good to finally get away so everybody would stop staring. Our plane had a half hour delay due to stormy weather in Canada. Our plane was coming from Canada and heading all the way south down to Mexico.

  2. We went over to the café and got some drinks. After we sat down, there was a girl playing with her dolls. She was traveling by herself and she was only six. She was visiting her dad and now heading down south to stay with her mom. They went boating and fishing on the Great Lakes. It sounded like they had fun. Maybe, next time we visit we will go camping on the Great Lakes. The plane finally landed and we all boarded the plane. It felt good to finally relax our legs after a week of walking. We watched Minneapolis slip from our sight. It should be smooth sailing from here. I wondered if my dad would be directing the plane when we landed at the airport. Our trip was unfortunately over.
