What was the Great Plague ? The plague was a ghastly disease. It began in May 1665, where 45 people died. By 1736, 31159 people had died 15 % of the population was wiped out. It took 4 – 6 days.
Symptoms High temperature Headache Sickness Muscular pain Black lumps appear where the flea bit the lumps The lumps spread to the legs Spots, like bruises, appear all over the body
