Grade 4 students will… set goals become self advocates for their learning be engaged demonstrate their understanding in a number of different ways be encouraged to be thoughtful and ask questions about their learning strive to demonstrate Kodiak SPIRIT each and everyday have fun while learning!
A Look into Humanities… Using a variety of activities to improve reading comprehension Creating and editing written work in a number of different ways Using student's skills knowledge and abilities to learn about "Alberta its land, people and history" Learning the importance of creating a community and contributing to our own grade four's identities and Nose Creek School as a whole
The Mathematician Students: use their skills, knowledge and abilities to solve a variety of problems will learn to communicate their reasoning about numbers in various ways usea hands-on approach to investigate and develop their understanding of numbers represent knowledge and understanding of numbers in a variety of ways – orally, reading/writing, visually and through technology consistently review and practice their basic math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Our current focus: Number Sense (Place Value), working with numbers up to 10 000
The Scientist uses inquiry and problem solving to develop and enhance knowledge, skills and abilities asks thoughtful questions makes predictions, explore materials and draws conclusions based on evidence students will learn how personal actions can make a difference students learn the significance of the "3Rs" and the impact it has on their community Our current focus: "Waste and our World"

The student is to find out what was missed and complete it on their own time student's be, do and show their best each and everyday changing into gym strip is optional and gym strip should be washed weekly students have a pair of indoor running shoes students are to come to class with a book to read and agenda
