Overview • Bring together learning teams from all Maryland school systems to develop a model for project based STEM learning accross curricula and classrooms for grades 4 through 8 • Interdisciplinary research project • Student and teacher ePortfolios
MSPP: Building Statewide Capacity to Improve Teaching & Learning in STEM Problem Based Learning ePortfolio & Web 2.0 Tools Geospatial Technologies PD: Instructional Coaches, Learning Teams, & Academies Best Practices Model and District STEM Initiatives

Selecting Non-Publics • Please follow the guidelines established in your county that coincide with the Federal guidelines • Short (1 or 2 paragraph) needs assessment from interested schools • Description of how they are going to use the PD • Focus on high needs schools • Establish selection criteria
Ongoing Progress • Hiring process for Grant Manager and Instructional Coaches • Locals are finalizing Learning Teams, MOU for Participants, and District STEM Projects • Develop PBL Stem Unit for Grades 4-8 • Provide PD to Instructional Coaches • Develop Outreach Plan for PBL Stem Unit and Grant
