Background • Members approached SABCOHA in 2007 • Brief discussions held with Gauteng Government (MSAU to share what they are doing) • Formal meeting held with members and soccer initiatives in March 2009 • SABCOHA to lead and avoid ambush marketing • Build on what already exists • Create a legacy

  3. Approach by CDC • Approached by CDC to submit a COP for 2010 in June 2009 • COP approved in August 2009 • Meeting held with Tiger Hubert FIFA - August 2009 • Support 2010 with social marketing and health • Obtain greater corporate support and support from FIFA

  5. Developments to Date and Way Forward • Job Description for 2010 Projects Manager finalized. Appointment process to start this week. • Analysis of World Cup tournament currently under way • After this meeting, to hold a follow up meeting with FIFA.
