November 6, 2012—Journal Writing Today is election day. Some believe it is a constitutional right of all who can vote should vote. In Jonas’s world they no longer have elections, the Committee determines everyone’s fate in life. There are few choices. Think about your life. Do you feel you have choices? Do you feel you have power in your opinion? Do you feel safe to express your thoughts? Do you have the right to gather as a group for religious purposes? After thinking about how significant today is in the lives of millions, including your own, write a few lines into your relay section expressing how you view your life as an American. Were the freedoms worth the fight or would it be easier to just have “sameness”?
