About wolves… The largest members of the dog family. They live and hunt in packs of around six to ten wolves with a dominant ‘alpha male’ as the leader.
Because they hunt in packs, wolves are able to take down very large prey that can feed many members of the pack.
The alpha male and his mate are the only members of the pack that breed. The rest of the pack just helps to take care of the young pups.

Some native Indian tribes believed that wolves were spiritual beings that could impart magical powers.
