Introduction Wolf is the animal that I researched partly because I didn’t really know much about this animal before I studied it. All of the things I knew (and still know) were/are very interesting.
Physical Description Wolves have insulating fur and two pointing ears to top it off. It also has warm blood, like me! Wolf’s fur can range from amber to black. They don’t only have one color of eyes either. Wolves have different sizes. Wolves range from 40 inches to 63 inches from head to body.
Habitat Wolves live in woodlands, snow infested lands and deserts. Many wolves are now in captivity, but will soon be let back into the wild. Their habitat was partly destroyed by farmers and hunters.
Predators Humans are a wolf’s biggest fear along with themselves! Farmers kill wolves for their fur that does not collect any frost even on a cold day.
Prey The wolf is a carnivore and will destroy a elk when given the chance. This is rare but does happen in a wolf’s lifetime. Deer are also on the special side of the menu for wolves.
Interesting Facts About Wolves The social life of wolves is very interesting. Just as so as the fact that their fur does not take in any frost at all, keeping the wolf warm. Another one is that the elk are not scared of the wolves until they attack!
