  3. TURKISH EDUCATION SYSTEM Turkey is bordered by eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast.

  14. PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION Pre-school education is compulsory and covers children who have not yet reached the age of entry to primary education. TURKISH EDUCATION SYSTEM

  16. PRIMARY EDUCATION TURKISH EDUCATION SYSTEM Primary Education, which is free at all state schools, is for the education ofchildren between the ages of 6 and 14, and it is compulsory for all.

Primary Education • The primary education program includes: • Turkish language,mathematics, • socialstudies,science,civicsand human rights, • the history of the Turkish Republic and Atatürk's reforms, • music, art/handicraft , physical education • a foreign language (English, French or German), • individual and group activities, • religious culture and ethics, • traffic safety and first aid, • career guidance, and elective courses.
