Thirty Eight APEC Transportation Working Group Meeting, Bali, Indonesia 1 – 5 July 2013 Background • Workshop on Enhancing Visibility of Maritime Container Transportation (36th APEC TPTWG) • Best Practices presented • Importance of the sharing information of the movement of containers and vessels was recognized • Need to harmonize container visibility platforms within the APEC regions Objective • To improve visibility of international logistics that would enable private enterprises to secure stable and reliable logistics, to reduce stocks and to eliminate inefficient practices
