  2. Objectives • Identify commonly used adverbs. • Find ways of using Adverbs meaningfully. • Use adverbs appropriately in day today conversation. • Value the ability to use adverbs properly.

  3. Adverbs An adverb describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.

  4. Adverbs say the following, How? Easily Happily Loudly Quickly Sadly Silently How Often? Always Every day Frequently Never Once Seldom Where? Inside Near Outside There Home Here When? After Before Early Now Today Yesterday

  5. Adverbs Sister makes sandwiches quickly and deliciously. An adverb is a verb helper that modifies and tells us more about the verb. It tells us when, where or how an action takes place

  6. Adverbs of place answer the question – Where ? Where are the toys? The toys areon the floor. Where is Diduni putting the toys? Diduni is putting the toys inside the box.

  7. Unit Four – Adverbs Grade 11- English Adverb An Adverb qualifies anything except a Noun or a Pronoun. Ex: Sita goes slowly. (Adverb after a verb) It is averybeautiful puppy. (Adverb before an adjective)

  10. Adverbs of Frequency say how often an action takes place. Ex: She very often walks to the shrine room.

  11. Adverbs of time say when an action takes place. They went to the science laboratory yesterday.

  12. Adverbs of Reason give a reason to the particular action. He cannot come today ashe has an examination.
