VP Professional & Organizational Development • This is the position for you if you enjoy: • Planning and coordinating events • Communicating with peers and staff members • Collaborating with the KPDC staff • Being efficient and punctual • Leading large groups • Positively impacting the Krannert community • Coaching others on their professional development • Improving current processes • Please email Ellen Coates with any questions (emcoates@purdue.edu)
VP Academic Affairs Rights and Responsibilities: • Oversee events that promote faculty – student relationships • Serve as chair of the Academic Affairs Committee • Assist with coordination of opportunity day • Responsible for planning and running KGSA Case Competition • Address faculty and student concerns as related to academic affairs and the graduate curriculum • Attend faculty meetings as deemed appropriate to remain aware of issues concerning faculty and students • Other responsibilities as determined by the KGSA President
VP Alumni Affairs • This is the position for you if you enjoy: • Planning and coordinating alumni related events • Communicating with various professionals working in industry • Enhancing the opportunity for networking and professional relationships for current and former students • Representing Krannert to the external population • A challenge – This position is dramatically evolving • Positively impacting the Krannert community • Improving the utilization of our alumni population alumni in an effective way • Please email Jessica Kasmerchak with any questions (jkasmerchak@purdue.edu)
VP Communications • Act as the liaison between the student body and the Krannertcommunity • Responsible for content creation, management and improvement of KrannertLife • Host the social hour • Send KGSA newsletter to the student population • Responsible for “The Zine” • Have the agenda ready for the KGSA board meeting

VP Events • The Vice-President of Events Management should strive to create opportunities for the graduate student body to enjoy recreational activities apart from the rigorous demands of students’ coursework. There have been traditional events that have happened consistently over the years, but ultimately you can choose to plan whatever events you deem worthwhile.
VP Events • Tailgates • Secure the event location early in the year (through the John Purdue Club – fees required for membership and 2 Parking Passes) • Purchasing of refreshments and food for each tailgate (usually done the day before) • Wednesday Socials • Coordinate and assign dates with club presidents • Serve as liaison between club presidents and Peggy Blessing for budget and food purchasing • Unofficial Socials • Plan social events in campus and non-campus venues for Krannert Students to socialize in a non-academic setting. • Scheduled / Special Events • Budgeting, Planning, and Execution of activities for the student body (examples are: Purdue Convocations, Paintball, Krannert Krawl, etc…)
VP Internal & External Finance • This position helps you to apply: • Budgeting • Cash management • Transactions processing • Internal and external treasurers have similar job functions but with different focuses • Internal covers the activities supported by club membership dues and KGSA board fund • External covers the activities supported by leadership fund • Please email VP of Internal Finance Iradj “Rod” Farahmand II (ifarahma@purdue.edu) or VP of External Finance Pan Pan (ppan@purdue.edu) with any questions

VP Technology • Responsible for ensuring Information Technology (IT) needs within KGSA are met • In-charge of KrannertLife • Roles & Responsibilities • Strategizing –improve the site, increase user participation, or enhance the overall user experience • Performing regular upkeep of the Website • Governance • Providing support services to KGSA, various clubs, students, and any other site users. These services include: • Access management – providing access, removing access, or troubleshooting access • Content management – creating areas for new clubs/university programs, removing non-existing clubs • Consulting – act as subject matter expert; consult on how to go about doing certain things on the site • Training and education – creating training documents/videos, holding sessions to train users • Requirements • How to use Wordpress, understand user issues and troubleshoot issues
