  3. ข้อดี คือ สามารถศึกษาเรื่องที่ไม่สามารถใช้มนุษย์ในการศึกษาได้ เช่นการศึกษากลไกการเกิดโรค อาการและการรักษาใหม่ ๆ • แบบจำลองในสัตว์ทดลองสามารถทำได้ในสัตว์หลายชนิด เช่น กระต่าย หนู ลิง สุนัข
