  4. History • Received its name in 1806 • Settled long before when saw and grist mills were built along the Cedar Creek • Earliest date was 1752, but may change when new resources arrive

  14. FYI • There is a place called Pleasantville, New Jersey. It resides in Atlantic County, east of Cumberland County. • New Jersey Devils were named after the folklore “Jersey Devil,” a winged creature of the night, that resides in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey.
