Motivation Chemical erosionyield • Determination of intrinsic hydrocarbon flux by means of an in-situ calibration with injection of hydrocarbons • Hydrocarbon flux • Methane family • Ethane family • Determination of conversion factors (D/XB-values): photon flux ~ particle flux • Dependence on the gas injection location and the strike point position • Reference discharges with H2 / D2 injection through the same GIMs!

Shot list (CD4 puff and D2 reference) Now: CD4 injection (GCD4 =2x1021 s-1) into a H plasma! Discrimination between CH from the wall and from the CD4 break-up might be possible!
