  2. ALMENARA DE TORMES • Almenara de Tormes es un pueblo de la comarca salmantina de la Armuña. • Su topónimo quiere decir “Atalaya”, altura desde donde se descubre mucho espacio de tierra o mar. • Del árabe. hispánico. almanára, y este del árabe. clásico. manārah, lugar donde hay luz, faro.

  3. CENTRO DE INCICIATIVAS AMBIENTALES • Está formado por 30 hectáreas de zona húmeda al lado del río Tormes. • Consta de la exposición etnográfica “Aperos del ayer”, aula multifuncional, albergue y un huerto ecológico y didáctico. • Un grupo de monitores guía a los escolares sobre el terreno y realiza actividades con ellos.
