Your chest is the key to all bodily action. (the action begins in your chest) • Your writs lead most hand gestures • Move elbows away from body when making arm or hand gestures • Do not gesture above your head or below your waist, unless necessary for a specific action • Eyes precede most movement • Opposite action emphasizes physical movement • Always use your upstage arm, so as to not cover your face • All actions must be clearly motivated Principles of Pantomime
