  1. Why do employers value particular employees attributes

  2. Communication Skills • One way to demonstrate good communications skills, could be by giving a presentation to a client. This will show that the employee can successfully communicate well enough to deliver information to others without issues.

  3. Problem Solving • A way of demonstrating problem solving skills could be by performing a task which requires a certain degree of concentration in order to complete it. Having problem solving skills will enable you to get put onto more difficult tasks, and will challenge the employee.

  4. Dependability • A way to demonstrate dependability is by making sure that all tasks which are required of you are completed on time and at a high standard. Another way of demonstrating this skill could be by coming into work everyday on time and not being late, this will show employers that you are dependable.

  5. Dress Code • A way to demonstrate having the correct dress code is by adhering to the policies set in place for a particular dress code. For example have a smart casual dress code while McDonalds have a strict uniform dress code, etc.

  6. Time Keeping • A way to demonstrate good time keeping is by ensuring that you can complete tasks within a set time in order to reach to the deadline. For example allocating enough time to a task so as not to effect the progress of others people work.

  7. Self Motivation • A way to demonstrate self motivation is by pushing yourself to do tasks which you struggle with or haven’t been set yet, in other words showing initiative and perseverance. For example completing a task and then moving straight onto the next task without being told.

  8. Work experience • A way of demonstrating that have work experience is by using the skills which you have experience with in your current role.For example if you worked on help desk using Microsoft Word, you could use that knowledge in another role which uses Word.

  9. Confidence • A way of demonstrating confidence is by telling your employer how well you can do your job and what tasks you can do well in particular. For example if you’ve been given task to complete for two weeks time, you could be confident to say ‘I will have it done by then’.

  10. Productivity • A way to demonstrate good productivity is by keeping up with tasks at a constant pace, not having to scramble to get things finished at the last minute so that the businesses progressing increases. For example completing a task before its deadline so your ready for the new task.
