Windows Authorized Program Goals • A new program from VERITAS, designed to drive deeper partnerships with select resellers by offering a greater value proposition • Provide broader product access to Advanced VERITAS Windows technologies, including NetBackup for Windows • Provide margin enhancement though opportunity registration • Program requires authorization, to reduce competitive pressures and enhance ROI potential

4. 2005 VERITAS Partner Program • Enterprise Authorized – Same as this year’s program • Authorized to sell all VERITAS products • Introduce formal opportunity registration program • Approx. 250 partners in North America. Primarily UNIX oriented. • Windows Authorized – Authorized to sell all VERITAS Windows hosted products • Additional product access includes NetBackup for Windows and other VERITAS Windows on-line products (listed in next slide) • Technical certification is required to remain in program • Opportunity registration available to partners in this program • Products available through Ingram and Tech Data • SMB – Termed “commercial channel” previously • Only “Exec” products offered through these partners • “Exec” products will be the only ones offered through VIP • Opportunity registration not available to partners in this program • Open availability though Ingram Micro and Tech Data
