Methodologyמתודולוגיה • הסקר נערך באמצעות ראיונות טלפוניים ע"י מערכת סקרים ממוחשבת (CATI) בקרב 613 מרואיינים, המהווים מדגם מייצג של כלל האוכלוסייה הבוגרת (+18) בישראל. • הסקר נערך בין התאריכים 20-21/01/2009, ימים ספורים לאחר סיום מבצע "עופרת יצוקה" ברצועת עזה, ויש להניח כי רישומו הטרי מצא ביטויו בממצאים של סקר המתמקד בנושא הפטריוטיות הישראלית. • טעות הדגימה המירבית: 4% ±, ברמת ביטחון של 95%. • The phone survey was conducted using a computerized survey system (CATI) among 613 interviewees, a representative sample of the adult population (18+) in Israel. • The survey was carried out between the 20th and the 21st of January 2009, shortly after the end of the war in Gaza. The impact of the war is most probably represented in such a survey on Israeli patriotism. • Sampling error is 4% ±, in 95% confidence level.

Introductionמבוא The survey includes vital information concerning the state of “Israeli patriotism”, which was examined directly according to a self definition of the level of patriotism and four main dimensions that express patriotism: • Pride • Rootedness / endurance • Symbolism • Sacrifice In addition, two related issues were examined: • Emotional attachment to the country following the war in Gaza • The belief in the strength of Israeli society following the war in Gaza הסקר מכיל מידע חיוני אודות מצבה של ה"פטריוטיות ישראלית", אשר נבדק באמצעות שאלה ישירה על הגדרה עצמית למידת פטריוטיות ועל פי ארבעה מימדים מרכזיים המבטאים את המושג: • מימד הגאווה • מימד כושר העמידה/השורשיות • מימד הסמליות • מימד ההקרבה כמו כן, בדקנו שני נושאים נוספים: • הקשר הרגשי למדינה בעקבות מבצע עופרת יצוקה • האמונה בחוסן החברה בישראל בעקבות מבצע עופרת יצוקה

Summaryסיכום • רמת הפטריוטיות של הציבור היהודי עולה במרבית מימדיה – גאווה, שורשיות, סמליות והקרבה. • הפטריוטיות בקרב קבוצת הגיל הצעירה ביותר (18-24) נמוכה יותר מזו של שאר קבוצות הגיל, אם כי גם בה רמת הפטריוטיות בד"כ גבוהה יותר מזו שבשנה שעברה. • הציבור הדתי והמסורתי הוא הפטריוטי ביותר. אחריו ניצב הציבור החילוני ומתחתיו החרדי. • גובר הקיטוב בין אזרחי ישראל היהודים והערבים: הפטריוטיות הישראלית של ערביי ישראל נחלשת שעה שהפטריוטיות הערבית והפלסטינית שלהם מתחזקת. • Increase in levels of Patriotism among Jews in most dimensions – pride, rootedness, symbolism and sacrifice. • Patriotism among the young (18-24) is lower than in other age groups, but like the others, it is also on the increase in comparison to last year. • Religious and traditional Jews are more patriotic than others, followed by secular and finally the Ultra Orthodox Jews. • The gap between Arabs and Jews is increasing: Israeli Patriotism among the Arabs is decreasing while Arabic and Palestinian patriotism is increasing.
