Themes • CHARITY • GRATITUDE • MAKING A DIFFERENCE "The first cup of tea, you're a stranger; the second cup, a friend; and the third cup, you're family." I would give this book a 9 because its story has a powerful and inspirational impact
The main social issue of this book is Education in Pakistan and Afghanistan
Why is this issue a problem? • Children in rural areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan are being raised with the thought that their life is worthless • They grow up to become terrorist because they don’t know any better • Children in these countries (especially girls) are denied of their human rights • There is a lack of educated people in these countries because so many children grow up without a school to go to
What is being done to solve this issue? • YouTube - Greg Mortenson Interview
