Declarative Sentence • It is a statement that ends with a period • The team meets today at the park. • My brother had school today. • Pam at an apple at lunch.
Interrogative Sentence • It is a question that ends with a question mark. • Where are you going? • What time does the store open? • When is your birthday?
Imperative Sentence • A sentence that is a command and ends with a period. • Please sit quietly. • Go sit down.
Exclamatory Sentence • A sentence that expresses strong feeling and ends with an exclamation point. • What a beautiful day it is! • Wow, that was awesome!
