Polk Transit Authority LAMTD 20 Routes PTA Improved Mobility Seamless System WHAT 6 Routes Ultimate Goal PCTS 3 Routes Single Agency with Dedicated Mission and Funding Source The Polk Transit Authority (PTA) was created by the Florida Legislature in 2007 with the unanimous support of local jurisdictions. Its stated purpose is to “provide for the consolidation of transit services in Polk County and to provide for the transition to a countywide transit system.”
