ITU-R S.1003-2 • TujuanDeorbit: • - Menghindariterjadinyatabrakan: • satelitmemilikidayatahan yang sangatrendahterhadapterjadinyatabrakan • fungsitelekomunikasisatelitakanhilangataumengalamipenurunanjikaterjaditabrakan • pemisahan satelit akibat tabrakan atau ledakan akan menciptakan awan puing orbital yang akan berhamburandi sekitar orbit, sehinggaakanmeningkatkan kemungkinan tabrakan dalam wilayah orbit • satelit melayang di GSO setelah akhir hidupnya dapat menghalangi link RF aktifsatelit • Berdasarkanhasilperhitungansatelitdideorbitdenganketinggian 200 km diatas GSO.
