  4. Campus Updates • Moment of silence for Dr. Michael J. Lewis, former vice chancellor for health sciences at East Carolina University, died Friday in West Virginia after a long illness. He was 70. 

  5. Campus Updates • The Pirate Tutoring Center opened up this week. It is located in 2300 Old Cafeteria Complex. • FIRSTFOOTBALLGAME is at home this Saturday. ECU vs Old Dominion at 7pm.

  6. Campus Updates • “Work Hard, Play Hard” Party hosted by Yachtclub and theWHYL is Labor Day weekend. • Part two of the BSU Unity Showcase is next Wednesday in Hendrix.

  7. Volunteering • 10 Hours per semester required of each member • New way to record hours through OrgSync

  8. Big Buddy/Little Buddy • Freshman: Interested in having a upperclassmen of BSU mentor you? • Upperclassman: Interested in providing values and social advancement to a younger Pirate? • BENEFITS: Volunteer hours, contributing to a future graduating class of ECU, and life-long friendships!
