You will now conduct your own survey with the class. You will record your own results on a tally table, frequency table, a bar graph and a pictograph. Your work needs to be accurate, neat and contain all of the key elements. Think of a survey question that you are interested in finding the results. Do not ask an obvious question that you already know how it will be answered. For example: How would you like to spend your day: going to the dentist or going to an amusement park? You will write your survey question including your 2 or 3 choices. You will answer your own question by writing your name on the top line with your response in the column beside it. Under your teacher’s direction, you will hand your survey to your assigned classmate. You will receive a different assigned classmate’s survey to answer. You will have 1-2 minutes to answer. When your teacher says to switch, you will hand that survey to your assigned person. By the end of the activity, everyone will have answered each other’s surveys. You should have your own back at the end of this rotation activity.
