  7. Project 2007 Client

  8. Project 2007 - KB 2289175 • 26878 – Contoured baseline work may change when a project is opened from Project Server. • 26966 – Continuation of 26688. Task positions and ordering may change when a project is opened. • 26922 – The calculation for remaining cost is different than Microsoft® Office Project 2003 when there are fixed costs and costs are not calculated by Project. • 27083 – An error such as the following may occur while saving projects: Job Type: Save Error ID: 12005(0x2EE5) Error Description: Queue Failed to Process the message. If an error occurs while saving, the process is supposed to retry, but because of a flaw the retry attempts to do an incremental instead of overwrite save.

  9. Project 2007 - KB 2289175 • 27234 – Project may crash while copying and pasting tasks within the context of a master project. This can occur specifically when the predecessors and successors get pasted. • 27367 – A sub-project’s finish dates may increase each time the master project is calculated and when the sub-project is not expanded. • 27398 – After saving a master project and if you have chosen to save the sub-projects as well, you may see a message similar to: The file cannot be saved. - Check that the file name and path are correct. - Check that the file format is recognized by Project. Project files saved in a version earlier than Microsoft Project 98 can't be opened. If your file is from an earlier version, open it in that version, click Save as (File menu), and save in MPX format. Open the MPX in the current version of Project. When you use this method, project data is imported, but formatting is lost.

  10. Project 2007 - KB 2289175 • 27399 – When working in a master project, if you click a link and within the Task Dependency dialog and you choose to delete the link, Project may crash.

  11. Project 2007 Server

  12. Project Server 2007 - KB2276475 • 26959 –Timesheet actual work may not get populated in the Reporting DB if initial save or submit fails. • 27027 – When using server APIs to create projects, the AddAfterTaskUID parameter is not being respected, which means tasks may appear in the wrong order. • 27036 –When a team member imports a timesheet where actual work has been deleted for a task where no planned work existed on the day, the value of "0h" does not get imported. • 27098 – Timesheet users are able to add the top-level project summary task to their timesheet and track time against it even if the project is closed to updates.

  13. Project Server 2007 - KB2276475 • 27200 – When a task is scheduled before a project’s start date, when updates are applied to it, the task’s start date and actual work may get scheduled to an even earlier date. • 27303 & 27838 – After applying updates, publishing may take a really long time, or the task approvals and approvals preview pages won't load, importing timesheets times out, etc. • 27330 –When task updates are made and a project plan is subsequently fully published, some of the Project Custom fields may be deleted and are no longer in the Reporting database.

  14. Project Server 2007 - KB2276475 • 27369 – When saving projects where resources have lookup tables applied, every custom field property gets saved each time. • 27415 – When a Project Server Interface (PSI) publish is invoked, resource availability may move. This can occur when there are links from tasks to summary tasks and a SS link type is used.

  15. Project 2010 Client

  16. Project 2010 – No Fixes in August CU

  17. Project 2010 Server

  18. Project Server 2010 – KB 2276341 • 27051 – When resolving user names that are from a claims provider, can now resolve based on an e-mail address as well. • 27053 – Whenever a new site is provisioned, the queue infrastructure restarts. • 27054 – When there are a large number of sites in a farm, the queue infrastructure can consume a large amount of memory. • 27481 – If there are intermittent connectivity issues with Active Directory®, accounts are deactivated. • 27844 – Restoring a site may fail if it was a site where a host header was used.

  19. Project Server 2010 – KB 2276341 • 27899 – When progress is updated on manually scheduled tasks, the baseline values on other manually scheduled tasks may get removed.

  20. Project Server 2010 – KB 2276341 • Various – 16 fixes made to the Schedule Web Part (drill- down view) • Crash if view includes “Task Summary Name” field. • Error if click on the Edit button more than once. • Saving a project while grouping is applied may mess up the task hierarchy. • Error a when trying to save a project after the “Fixed Work” message has appeared. • Publish fails if a summary task has no name and if a sub-task has an assignment. • Task Hierarchy doesn’t look correct if you undo after deleting tasks and while filter is applied.

  21. Project Server 2010 – KB 2276341 • May crash if expanding sub-projects of a master project. • May crash if the outline level of a task is changed after having deleted some summary tasks. • If there is an error, you cannot scroll the grid horizontally. • Sorting and grouping on local custom fields does not work correctly. • View-based filters don’t always work correctly on date fields. This is especially true in some languages like French. • Grouping on the predecessors field does not work.

  22. Project Server 2010 – KB 2276341 • May not be able to expand the task hierarchy when a new task is inserted before a group of collapsed tasks. • The web part may not be able to display projects where there are blank or “NULL” tasks. • If rich text is added to a note within Project Professional, it may cause the web part of fail to load. The user sees a message similar to “Error in Grid - Cannot communicate with the server” • If rich text is pasted into a field within the web part, you may be unable to save the project.
