  4. CKF of Central Indiana Mission Statement Ensure that all children and families in Marion County and Central Indiana are informed of Medicaid eligibility and encouraged to enroll in all accessible health care coverage programs

Learning Well School Clinic Partnership • Uninsured children are 25 percent more likely to miss school. • Children without coverage are less likely to have a usual source of care and more likely to delay or avoid care when it is needed. • Uninsured children are less likely to receive the proper medical care for childhood illnesses such as sore throats, ear aches and asthma.

  7. Back to School Family Day 2008 Date: Saturday, August 2, 2008 Time: 9am to 3pm Location: Marion County Health Department, 3838 N. Rural, Indpls IN 46205 Sports Physicals, Immunizations, Dental/Vision/Asthma/Lead screenings and Hoosier Healthwise enrollment onsite. Food, fun, games, music and more!

Other Outreach Activities in Central Indiana • Over 250 health and school fair events per year • 50 target schools per year • Assist free and reduced-lunch eligible families to enroll with Hoosier Healthwise • Work with school clinic staff to enroll families • Walk-ins daily • Establish referral sites with other community organization • Establish on-site enrollment at shelters, correctional facilities, rehabilitation facilities and senior facilities
