  2. 59th versus 61st Legislatures • In the 59th Legislature, the PRI began with 222 seats, and the PVEM with 17, a total of 47.8% of the chamber. • The PAN began with 151 seats (30.2%). • In the 61st Legislature, the PRI is expected to have 237 seats, and the PVEM 21, for a total of 51.6%. • The PAN will have about 143 seats (28.6%).
