    4. No Backpacks for 5th graders

    5. Drawstring Backpacks You will need a zippered binder. the binder may have a strap or they may use a nylon or plastic drawstring backpack. Can be easily folded and put into desk or binder.

Daily Schedule 8:00- 8:20 Rise & Shine in Cafeteria 8:30-9:00 TAKS Tutorial/Recess (Mon. & Fri.) 9:00-10:00 Science 10:05-10:55 LAMP (Library, Art, Music, PE) Teacher Planning 11:00- 12:30 Math 12:30- 1:00 Spelling & Writing 1:00- 1:30 5th Grade Lunch 1:30- 2:15 Reading 2:15- 3:15 Social Studies 3:15 Dismissal

    7. Snack Time We eat snack around 9:30 each day. Students may bring a healthy snack to eat while they continue to work. They should be able to eat it quietly and within 5 minutes.

    13. Conferences Sign up for a time on Parent Teacher Conference Day October 12th (that is a Monday).

    14. Homework Students will have Spelling homework on Mondays and Wednesdays each week. Other homework will be assigned when needed. They also have a book project that will require at least 30 minutes a day. (including weekends) They checked out their 1st books today!
