This project aims to protect wild populations and breeding habitats of the critically endangered Mekong Giant Catfish and other large migratory catfish species in two provinces, Chiang Khong (Thailand) and Bokeo (Lao PDR), through various activities such as deep pool surveys, socio-economic assessments, spawning and fishing location surveys, transboundary dialogue, fisheries co-management plans, fishing quotas, and the development of transboundary agreements.
