  4. Upgrade UW-ACE • V7.2 to V7.3 in April • Debated going to “freshest” V7.4 • Timing not good (Dec beta, Feb/Mar general release) • Move from quizzes to assessments, and lose some functionality • Plan for communications and dates at next Operations meeting in December

Possible Add-on Integrations • Have integrations of Wimba (audio tools), Turnitin, and iClicker (“lite” integration) • Maple TA integration investigation • Math, Science, Engineering using Maple TA • Pass through authN, pass back grades • No cost estimate; not yet sure who’d pay • Atlas Ares integration investigation • Same as current “homegrown” functionality

Student drops for not “fees arranged” • Students dropped from roster after “claim date” and are out of UW-ACE • Our concerns: • Unfair advantage for in-class only students • We are in the middle, contacted by student, we pass info on to the professor • prof:student ratio 26:1and growing; profs need no more admin burdens!

Student drops for not “fees arranged” • Finance view • Losing access to UW-ACE most effective way to catch student attention! • Students receive numerous warnings • Ideas for going forward • Put warning notification on UW-ACE • Registrar’s Office will send list • Direct student to Finance – Student Accounts • More discussion on processes

  8. Removing course archives • Overview • Course stays on UW-ACE for 3 terms after run • Archive cut of course at end of term, after final marks are generated • How long to keep archive? • Propose 3 years • Aligns with removal of “inactive” professors after 3 years
