2. In English… • Every verb in English has an “infinitive” form. • The infinitive is 2 words in English. The first word is always “to”. • To drink, to eat, to run, to play – are all infinitives • The infinitive is the natural form of a verb.

3. Sometimes we leave a verb in the infinitive… • I like to drink Dr. Pepper. • Santiago loves to eat pizza. • It’s hard to run everyday! • We don’t have to play Halo.

4. Sometimes we change the verb based on the subject… • Instead of saying: “I to drink Dr. Pepper all the time.” • You say: “I drink Dr. Pepper all the time.” • What if the subject is she? • She to drink Dr. Pepper all the time. • No! • She drinks Dr. Pepper all the time. • We drink Dr. Pepper all the time.
