  2. Subject Pronouns Yo = I Nosotros = We Tú = you (informal) Vosotros = You all (informal) El = he Ellos = They Ella = she Ellas = They Usted = you (formal) Ustedes = You all (formal)

  3. -AR verbs There are 3 categories of verbs: -AR, -ER, and –IR. Drop the –AR ending. Add the correct ending for the subject of the sentence.

  4. The endings Yo o Tú as El/ella/ud. a Nosotros amos Vosotros áis Ellos/as/uds. an

  5. HABLAR (“to speak”) Drop –AR = habl Yo hablo Tú hablas El/ella/ud. habla Nosotros hablamos Vosotros habláis Ellos/as/uds. hablan

  6. Vamos a practicar… Mirar Llegar Pasar

  7. MIRAR (“to look at, to watch”) Take off –AR = mir Yo miro Tú miras El/ella/ud. mira Nosotros miramos Vosotros miráis Ellos/as/uds. miran

  8. LLEGAR (“to arrive”) Take off –AR = lleg Yo llego Tú llegas El/ella/ud. llega Nosotros llegamos Vosotros llegáis Ellos/as/uds. llegan

  9. PASAR (“to happen/to pass”) Take off –AR = pas Yo paso Tú pasas El/ella/ud. pasa Nosotros pasamos Vosotros pasáis Ellos/as/uds. pasan

  10. Yo entro la clase. I enter the class. Ella necesita leer el libro. She needs to read the book. Nosotros llegamos tarde. We arrive late.
