Performance Manager New Goals Module 2013
What’s New??? • All goals will be tied to the Children’s of Alabama Strategic Initiatives • Goal forms will be sent to the managers in the form of a task for each employee • At least one goal is required for every employee • The goals and any notes added throughout the year will show up on the evaluation!!! Yeah!!
Important Dates • 3/25/2013 – Performance Goals tasks available on your task list • 11/1/2013 – Goals must be input for every employee • 11/17/2013 – Performance Evaluations available on your task list to start working on • 3/2/2014 – All evaluations are due
How to Create A Goal • In your task list, you should have a Performance Goals task for each of your employees
How to Create A Goal • When you click on the Performance Goals task, the following page will display
How to Create A Goal • Towards the bottom of the screen is a section titled “Individual Goals for Employee Name” • Under this, click on the option called “Add Goal”

How to Create A Goal • Add the general name of the goal • Add a thorough description of the goal • In the “Align To Type” section, click on the circle next to “My Organization Goals” • In the drop down box next to Align To, click on the 2013 Strategic Initiative which most closely relates to the goal being created • List the Due Date, which is usually going to be 12/31/2013 • You can ignore the Percent Complete section, unless you know the employee has already made some progress towards completing this goal • You can add any Manager Notes you may need, but this is not required • Hit Save
How to Create A Goal • Once you create the goal, it will be listed on the Performance Goals page under the Individual Goals • Create as many goals as you need for the employee • Once you have created all of the goals, hit the Approve button at the bottom of the screen • Hit Ok when the popup message box appears
How to Create A Goal • Once you approve the goals you created, the Performance Goals task will be removed from your task list and will automatically appear on the employee’s task list for review
What Does The Employee Do?? • When the employee clicks on the Performance Goals task, they will be directed to their Performance Goals page • At the bottom of this page, they will be able to review and comment on the goals you created for them
What Does The Employee Do?? • If the employee has already made progress towards reaching this goal, they can click on the + button next to the goal and then click on Add Notes • They can add any update notes and then click the save button
What Does The Employee Do?? • Once the employee has reviewed their goals, they can click on Dismiss Notification, which will remove this from their task list and place it in their Goals section of Performance Manager
What Does The Employee Do?? • The employee can log into Performance Manager any time during the year and add notes to their individual goals. • These notes will show up within each goal on the final evaluation that you complete for the employee.
Adding Notes To A Goal • As a manager, you can also add notes to your employee’s goals throughout the year • Click on your Employees Tab • Click on the Goals link next to the employees name • The goals you created will be listed towards the bottom • You can add notes at anytime and these will display in the evaluation
What Will The Evaluation Look Like???? • The goals you created will automatically show up in each evaluation • Any notes you or your employee made throughout the year will also display
