  2. Instructions for use • Innumerable exams, in the course of time have shifted to more improvised version of exam taking system, which involves the technology of computer and is recognized as Computer Based Test/examination.

  3. Guidelines for attempting Computer Based Test

  4. 1. Look for the right icon on your desktop You will be provided with a desktop on your assigned seat. Look for the icon on the display screen that specifies the name of your exam. Now click on the icon to start your exam.

  5. 2. Fill in the required details Clicking on the icon will take you to the starting page of the exam. This page will ask for some of the details like your username, password and name of the subject. It is mandatory to fill these fields. After you are done with the filling of the initial page, click on the “NEXT” option.

  6. 3. Read the instructions carefully Now the next page consists of instructions Read them carefully as they specify the allotted time and the type of questions in each section and how to do them. Now you will see a button on the top or the bottom of the page specified as “start exam” click on that button and start giving the exam.

  7. 4. Time indicator You will be provided with a timer on top of the examination screen. The clock will be indicating the remaining time in descending order. Keep an eye on the remaining time. Plan your exam giving strategy in accordance to the time in hand.

  8. 5. Type of questions The test will have multiple-choice questions and descriptive type questions. MCQ type questions will have options to select from whereas descriptive type questions will have text-box to fill the answer.

  9. 6. Important buttons that you need to remember Submit button: After completion of each question click on the submit button otherwise your answer will not be registered. Next page button: To move on to the next page click on this button. Mark for review: This option gives you a choice to return back to the same question later, and then attempt it again. Previous page button: For going back to the previous page click on this button Finish button: you will site this button on the last page of the test that you are giving. By clicking on this button you will end your exam.

  10. 7. Result Result depends on the type of exam that you have attempted. Sometimes you get the result right after clicking on the “finish” button where the result is displayed on your screen Other time you get the result via mail or on your postal address.
